FORSYTH COUNTY STATE OF GEORGIA ORDER The within and foregoing Grand Jury Presentments having been read and considered, let the same be filed. JUDGE DAVID L. DICKINSON SUPERIOR COURT BELL-FORSYTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT GRAND JURY PRESENTMENTS BELL-FORSYTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT MARCH TERM 2026 The Grand Jury was sworn in on March 9, 2026, by Superior Court Judge David L. Dickinson. The Grand Jury met once each month during the four-month term. The Grand Jury hereby respectfully submits the following general presentments to the Superior Court with the recommendation, pursuant to O.C.G.A. $ 15-12-80, that they be published in whole in the legal organ of the county. A. PRESENTATION OF INDICTMENTS The District Attorney's Office presented 126 indictments with charges against 142 defendants for consideration. The Grand Jury returned 126 true bills. B. REPORTS FROM THE CLERK OF COURT AND PROBATE COURT During the March meeting, Clerk of Court Greg Allen presented a report from the Clerk's office and Probate Court Judge Daisy Weeks-Marisko presented a report from Probate Court outlining their activities and finances. C. PRESENTATION FROM DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE ON THE CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION INITIATIVE Beth Ready, Victim Witness Director for the District Attorney's Office, spoke to the Grand Jury at the April session about the state-wide initiative to educate five percent of every county's adult population on child sexual abuse and the office's collaboration with Community Connection to do this in Forsyth County. She explained how individuals could receive the training. D. INSPECTION OF THE FORSYTH COUNTY JAIL Pursuant to O.C.G.A. SS 15-12-7l(b) (1), the Grand Jury inspected the jail during the May session. Grand Jury members were accompanied by Penny Penn, Allyson Schneible, Chloe Schneible and Nedal Shawkat with the District Attorney's office and Grand Jury bailiff Shannon Davis. Assistant Chief Deeann Cash, jail administrator, addressed the group. She and Capt. Thomas Moore, also with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, escorted the Grand Jury throughout the facility and showed members the control room, an empty inmate pod, intake, booking and lobby areas. REAPPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OFTAX EQUALIZATION Pursuant to O.C.G.A. $ 48-5-11, the Grand Jury reappointed Richard Custer as an alternate member of Board I.
